It's been 4 years!

It's been 4 years, and no I am not talking about how long it's been since I posted something on my blog... January 6th, 2010 is our anniversary. Yep, me and ol' Thomas have been married for 4 years!!

What a blessed and lucky girl I am! I think all 3 of you (people who read my blog) know my sweetheart, but let me tell you a bit about him anyway:

Thomas Lloyd Holt, 29 years of age, birthday July 10th, my hubby, has a heart of gold. He is kind, gentle and sweet. Pretty much everyone loves him. (And everyone who knows us both, loves him more than me... but I am not bitter, because I love him more than I love me too!) He is just silly and fun to be around. One of the best things about him is that he is tender and sensitive... not every man is capable of this, but he is naturally so. He takes care of me, even though I am often a brat.

It amazes me to think that only 5 and a half years ago, he wasn't a member of the Church. His testimony of Jesus Christ is so strong, I often forget that he hasn't always had it. He is the "Ward Mission Leader" in our ward... It boggles my mind that he leads the missionary efforts of the ward when he was only baptized himself a few years ago... But he always was a "golden investigator". But he does an excellent job because he knows what it is like for people who are investigating the church. I remember he even got up and shared his testimony BEFORE he was a member. :o) He's such a good boy.

For some reason I was blessed to meet, fall in love with, and marry Thomas in the holy temple. The temple has been a huge source of comfort and blessings to us, in our 4 years of marriage. We attribute many of our blessings and answers to prayers to visits to the temple.

Obviously I am feeling nostalgic, and slightly mushy... and although Thomas will probably never read this, I just want to tell the world "I love Thomas more than I thought I could ever love anyone... He is my sweetheart, and my partner for the eternities... And I am so proud of him."
Here are some pics from the beginning of our Journey:

I love this pic because we weren't aware it was being taken, but it is so sweet...

We were (and still are) SO HAPPY!

how bout a smooch at the temple?

The Oakland Temple rivals all of the other temples for beauty!

This is currently the background photo on our desktop. So snuggly! (and that arm to the right is my Maid of Honor, Rebecca, who introduced us, and was the photographer for most of the photos you'll see! Love her!)

First step outdoors as a new couple!

a pic from an engagement photo shoot in my parents backyard.

Trying on Thomas' tux!

From the reinactment of Thomas' proposal!

so cute...

This one makes me laugh... I almost forgot that Thomas used to pick me up all the time just to hear me squeal!! He would do it in public, it was embaressing, but funny to look back on now. He just did these things for a laugh.

More laughs... these photos are of Thomas frolicking in the grass... such a goof!

so snuggly!

how bout another smooch...

here I am, afraid for my life... can you tell we are upwards of 25 feet in the air, above a creek that is only 3 inches deep? I hate heights... but Becca made us because she said we would love the pic and it would be worth it...

It was worth it, and now I never have to go up a tree again!!!!!! (p.s. I was shaking sooo bad and wouldn't let go of the tree)

here is a classic, and believe it or not, 2 people upon opening our wedding announcement found this silly picture, because we thought it was funny.

Here was one of our serious announcement pics
And here I am at my bridal shower, holding the cake that was almost as sweet as Thomas.
Well, that's probably enough mush for you... xoxo

It's been ages!

First of all, it is really hard to maintain a blog when you don't actually OWN a computer... And I really need one for school and work... eek. Maybe for Christmas. Anyway, just thought I might leave a quick update to prove that I haven't forgotten my blog entirely!

My Birthday/Disneyland Trip

Hey Guys, I have been on a posting kick, so here's the latest. I wanted to post these pics a long time ago, but left the post unfinished, and forgotten in the "drafts" folder. I decided to dig this post out, dust it off and publish it.

The following pics are from my birthday, March 21, 2009. We went and saw Carly, Reed and the babies, went to Disneyland, and had Caleb's baby blessing. (We also went to Utah for Abby's baby blessing too. I will post those pics when I find them)
Here is Uncle Thomas giving little Emory a "five". All of our nephews and neices LOVE Thomas!
Here is my sweetie in front of one of the rides in Disneyland... I think it was splash mountain.
In the tradition of our dear friend/"sister", Rebecca, we always have to take pictures of eachother eating. Honestly, they are always good for a smile or laugh! How is that million-dollar Disneyland lunch, babe?
Thomas and Emory in line at California Adventures' Toy Story ride which is AWESOME! Even for adults!
Here is my Reedy and Carly and hidden baby Caleb (who loved rides at the tender young age of 3 months old)
Here we are in front of the interactive Mr. Potato head. You pass him while you wait in line... and he talks to you and answers questions, and sings... the technology is AMAZING!
Here is little Phaedra Grace. What a beautiful girl! And she is beyond sweet and cuddly!
Hip 3d glasses. Very trendy!

It's a Small World, afterall...
I hadn't been on this ride since I was 4 years old. Thomas and I really loved it. It was beautiful and very entertaining. I am sorry we didn't go on this ride when we went the year before last!
Me and Yoda had to wait outside when Thomas went potty... :o) And everyone kept saying "wow!! Where'd you get that backpack?" (The answer: Disneyland!)
Too cute!
Aw, happy little family!
Pretending to be scared... Thomas was supposed to pretend too.
These guys were waiting in line too long, and kicked the bucket, so to speak.
Here's my Disney magic bday card. Since we went on my birthday, I got free admission. We already bought a two-day ticket, though, so we got other prizes offered to us. I chose this card which had 70 dollars on it, a wonderful giftcard! What a deal!
waiting in line...
can you even believe that there was no one in front of the Mickey?! And he had a festive bday hat on, just for me!!
Finding a place to sit...
On Space Mountain. This is a dangerous manuver. Do not attempt this unless you have a wrist-strap on your camera!
Trying to be funny. I think I succeeded. I LOVE ROLLERCOASTERS!

It was a really great trip, I have a million photos just waiting to be scrapbooked, but I thought I would at least share a few... I hope that everyone gets a chance to go to Disneyland/California Adventures soon!

Welcoming Zephaniah Lee Hamblin

Here is the sweet sweet boy. He is beautiful and healthy and adorable!

Here is the happy family! And may I say that Zenobia is glowing and beautiful, she doesn't even look like she just had a baby... Bet there are a lot of jealous moms because they didn't look this good right after giving birth. ;o)
Here I am, holding Zephaniah (whose name means something like "Treasured by God" or "Hidden by God") I am his Aunt Alli. Zenobia was "adopted" into the Albert family years ago. Since she is my sister, I get to be an Aunt! And I love this boy as though we were related by blood.

The proud mommy! And I am so proud of Zenobia! She was so strong and brave... No epidurals here. She has done so good! I love her so much. She is a good sister.
Who knew when we met in Newspaper class, in 2000, that we would be so close, and that we would have families of our own. Who authorized us to grow up so fast?
I am so happy for Luke and Zenobia! Congrats to them for such a beautiful baby boy! Thomas and I care about and love them all so much... and we look forward to watching Zephaniah grow. I also would like to add that Zenobia's dad, Steve's health is failing. Any extra prayers would be welcome and appreciated. Thank you....
